MY DIET FILES: Day One with Master Cleanse.

Today, I officially start with my Master Cleanse. I decided to do it this week just in time for Holy Week as it is much easier to fast if you offer it to God. Seriously, I am nervous because I tried drinking the lemon mixture yesterday and boy after just a few seconds, I was already running towards the cr :P. I am not sure if I could last 10 days much more 5 days but I will try. Here I am all glued on one of our laptops, trying to read everything I need before I finally take the plunge. I do not want to miss out a single item in the ingredients and information on how to take it with the laxative and sea salt water.
I'll let you know how many pounds I lose after this.

not yet.
And so I thought, I can finally go offline for the rest of the Holy Week but no, my schedule had been mixed up and I had barely no time to go online for the past few days so here I am cramming on what I can finish before we finally switch to vacay modes. Yes, we are heading out for another short weekend at the Beach. Taking advantage of the sunshine and DH's off days. We are going there with some of my in-laws and a couple of DH's friends. Speaking of, I still need to email a friend who asked about blogging. She has decided to be a fulltime SAHM and wanted to earn a few bucks while at home. Although I may be in this arena for quite sometime now, almost 2 years, I still have a lot of things to learn such as link-building, improving one's PRs and alexa score and most especially on how a blog can improve its standing in terms of search engine optimization. Although this friend of mine would just want to blog on her spare time, so I would not bother emailing her of all the itsy bitsy technical details of building and maintaining a site, which I have no knowledge about. However, if you are interested on doing business online, you might want to visit this link building agency which also doubles as an seo agency. Status Media Plc can help small-medium online business owners to improve their cpa networks and give tips on how to effectively advertise online as well as market their services and products in the world wide web. People these days are internet-dependent, hence, online businesses have a lot of potential rather than business that do not have internet exposure. You can check out the site for more information.

MY DIET FILES: Once You Pop, You Can't Stop.

So how have I been in terms of my weight loss goals? Seriously, I am getting there :P. I may not lost a lot of pounds just yet, but I surely lost inches because of my rigid workout routine. I have never been this devoted with my workout regimen even my body is cooperating because a day without it means sluggish for the rest of the days. However, because of my sweating heavily, I might just consider at checking out www.muradreview.com as I have grown some small but very red rashes on my side cheeks, lower jawline and neck. Wherever I sweat heavily, that's where the rashes are. But then again, I am happy that finally my body has began to adept with my exercise routine making it stronger than ever.

A Spirometer.
What is a spirometer?
A spirometer is an apparatus for measuring the volume of air inspired and expired by the lungs. It is a precision differential pressure transducer for the measurements of respiration flow rates. The spirometer records the amount of air and the rate of air that is breathed in and out over a specified period of time.
That's according to WikiPedia. I chanced upon the term while I was looking for some grilled dishes recipes. Apparently, for some who always grill food first-hand must be aware that there can be some mild effects to your lungs if you are exposed to grilling and smoke very often. Hmmm, that's a little trivia for all of us :P.

Ready for Easter?
I have finally decided to continue my Vegan Quest and will do it very slowly this time. First, I will eliminate pork in my tastebuds even if I swore before that I could not give up pork because PORK IS LOVE! (think sinigang and lechon!) Yes, my favorite meals include those that are definitely not colon cleansing foods.
So what got me thinking into pursuing my vegan quest?
Hubby promised to make me Dilled Salmon every time I crave pork :).
Of course, we are going to have these dishes again this coming Easter. (excited much?) I call it Dilled Salmon because hubby filled it with sooo much Dill herbs. It was so good, I could finish the whole pan!
it was soooo fresh but let's skip the price okay?
Then of course, I have to make him this Tuna Macaroni melt which recipe will be shared shortly :). A few more weeks and Hello Easter!

What's for Lunch?
Would you believe that because of my busy schedule (yes very very busy, I am beginning to grow wrinkles on my forehead and might need this anti wrinkle cream any moment), I overlooked that we do not have rice in stock hee hee. Hubby was too understanding enough and asked me to whip turkey spaghetti and make some breaded porkchop on the side. So that's what he had today. As for me, I am still on my no-meat fasting, hence, egg sandwich was my lunch. What's yours?

tabios fried cake and more.
This is the outcome of Hubby's Tabios Fried Cake, nasunog ko ata toink!
I'm not really good in frying. Be it fried chicken, porkchop, fish etc... The only dish I mastered frying are eggs, chicken nuggets and potato fries. I learned that it is better to use a deep fryer especially for porkchops and fried chicken. Another tip to avoid a porkchop from curling, is slice a small portion of the porkchop's edge, this will help flatten the chops. Hmm, any tips on frying wifeys? Is my oil too many or too hot?

Happy Weekend!
Too bad, DH is in a hurry, we need to leave in a bit well, after I write this entry, we are leaving. He badly needs to check on some POS systems for his Aunt's newly-opened shop. I won't be able to share the recipe of this Cherry Cheesecake but I will soon. I just want to say that yes, for the very first time, I was able to make a cheesecake from scratch. DH who is not into pastries couldn't resist this. This photo do not give justice and maybe my plating doesn't too but I tell you this whole cheesecake did not last 24 hrs in the fridge. I couldn't resist it too and I do not care how many cups of coffee we took to pair with this. Ahhh, I think I'm going to make another one tomorrow. In the meantime, have a slice and enjoy your weekend :P. Ciao for now!

Wheat Grain Penne Puttanesca
Meat-less Fridays have become to be a struggle for me :P. You see, I am not really used to cooking meat-less dishes because my boys are big meat-lovers and eaters. But because of Lent, they started to develop a strong liking for meat-less meals. Last Friday, DH requested that I make him Wheat Grain Penne Puttanesca for his Dinner. He had a long day from searching on door hardware, bank errands and bringing DS to and fro gym classes and preschool. So as the loving wifey (ehem ehem!), I obliged. Here is the quick recipe, again from my Mom's recipe book :P.

PUTTANESCA
1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
1 can anchovy fillet
1 1/2 cup diced (dried as much as possible) tomato
1/2 cup sliced black olives
1/4 capers
1/2 dried oregano garlic or basil leaves
1.) Heat olive oil, add anchovy fillets, break fillet into small pieces.
2.) Lower heat and saute dried tomatoes, let simmer for 20 min.
3.) Stir olives, capers, oregano, simmer 3-4 minutes sprinkle dried garlic
4.) Mix with noodles.
