small proportions.

After reading some weight loss success stories, I realized that most people who lost weight, eat many times a day but with small proportions. By doing so, your tummy never gets stretched, chances are you won't develop flabs, more so your metabolism will be improved. I guess this finger food photo is the idea of small portions harharhar! Can you survive with that small proportion every 2 hrs in a day?

Photobucket

One of my staple foods is Porkchops! My friends would wonder why I loved pork so much. I could live without chicken and beef, but pork no! So, this is a clear indication that I can never go vegeterian my whole life although I tried before. However, I have committed myself to living a healthier life to attain my desired pre-wedding weight and so I try as much as possible to avoid pork or else I would end up taking these fat burner supplements.

But I know, that sometimes it's good to indulge to our cravings so for this week's recipe, here's Crispy Golden Chops!

Generic Cooking.

As I was telling my friend about these best prenatal vitamins because She recently got pregnant after waiting for a year, my boys were feasting on this. Sadly, they still miss my mom's cooking, me also. But, this will all help me and DH to shed off those extra pounds now that I am the one who's running the kitchen. And yes, I am back with my "generic cooking" (LOL!).

Recipe of the Week: TOSSED GREEN SALAD.

My recipe for this week is something that would make green leafy veggies delectable to my many friends who dare not touch these type of veggies as they claimed, they do not eat GRASS! I myself is not a big fan of veggies (except for eggplant!) but I am not choosy when it comes to eating greens. So here's a salad with 4 different types of simple dressings that I hope might make you enjoy eating greens! Very timely for my new diet routine. Enjoy the recipe, off to check this hair loss treatment review.

Put in a big salad bowl, lettuce leaves, 4 tomatoes sliced crosswise into rings, 2 white onions sliced into ring, 1 red bell pepper sliced into rings, green bell pepper sliced into rings (leave skin on.) Put in a different small bowls.

  2. French dressing: Mix together, ½ cup cooking oil, 2 tablespoon vinegar, 1 tbsp bottled lemon or calamansi juice, ½ tsp salt, 1 tsp paprika, 1 tsp mustard, 1 tbsp sugar
  3. Italian Dressing: Same recipe as for French dressing but add 1 small head minced garlic, ¼ tsp each of thyme and oregano.
  4. Thousand island: Mix together, 2 cups Kraft mayonnaise, ½ cup catsup, 2 finely chopped hard boiled eggs, ¼ cup pickle relish, 1 tbsp karo syrup. If Kraft miracle whip, omit pickle relish in your recipe.

missing Tokyo Tokyo!

Yesterday, I was missing Tokyo Tokyo so badly that I had to ask DH to drive me in the nearest Japanese FastFood. This is what I got for myself. It was a 15-maki-dish and then more hahah! I know I broke my diet routine but I fasted the whole day as I have been craving for Tokyo Tokyo's Red Iced Tea, Beef Terriyaki, Tempura, Yakisoba and Maki. I was so full last night that I immediately check these colon cleanse product reviews.

Food for Thought #56

Time to catch up with my food meme category which I have been neglecting for a few months now. Starting with this:

Breakfast
How did you ring in the NEW YEAR and NEW DECADE?
>>>With lotsa food, with family and a lot of silly jumps hee hee! Oh I forgot to mention, opening some post-Christmas gifts which include this blackhead extractor. Haha!

Lunch
What will you remember about 2009?
>>>MPA.

Dinner
What are your expectations for 2010?
>>>More and more blessings and a better ME.

Midnight Snack
If you could go back and change anything about 2009, what would it be and why?
>>>None, whatever hardships and obstacles I encounter in 2009, it made me stronger and ready for a better 2010.

more reason.

I just cannot contain my excitement over a close friend's wedding come Autumn. This would be my 2nd American wedding to witness here. And like my other friend told me, weddings are celebrated here differently. Compared to what we had back home, weddings come with huge number of guests and very grand celebrations. Anyways, this friend is checking some destination weddings venue as this couple is very outdoor. They want something different for their special day yet intimate for their friends and family to enjoy. I just can't wait for this big day as I would be able to catch up with our other friends and of course, a perfect reason to diet and get back to my old tiptop shape. :)

Happy New Year, Happy New Me!

Happy 2010 everyone! Again, my apologies for the lack of updates here :).
One of my New Year's resolutions is proper and improved Time Management. With that being said, I guess I'd be able to squeeze in some time updating this blog regularly :).

In the meantime, let me tell you that yes, like everyone else, my New Year's Resolution list include living a healthier life, no more crash dieting and junk food binging. Health first before anything else. It's the 19th of January and so far, I have been very good on this. In fact just this morning, I hit on the ellipticals and ate my grass (I call my salad, Grass Hee hee). To add to that, I added this Calorie Counter called LOSE IT in my iPhone to track my calorie intake a day. My goal is to lose 2 lbs a week to achieve my pre-wedding weight. Yeeha! Why such a big number? I am going to be an MOH for a September wedding, I do not want to cram on losing weight again. Wish me luck :).
