TRAVEL DINO: authentic pasta & wine in Rome's city breaks

They say one of the cheapest European trips include joining rome city breaks, instead of longer breaks which entail longer accommodation too. Despite the fact that these city breaks in rome are not for longer stays, a traveller could still enjoy its many attractions, including the ever famous Colosseum, the Vatican city, the Phanteon and Sistine Chapel. With their many pristine architecture and renaissance treasures, it is indeed a must-travel city for art lovers.

I have always been vocal about my dream European trip, even planning to do it before we conceive our 2nd baby because when that other child comes out, I know the expenses are overwhelming and never-ending. Thus, a luxury travel such as this is definitely out of the budget.

But of course, this entry will take give you some information on what kind of food to expect when you decide to join those rome short breaks. I have been a pasta-lover for more than half of my life. This explains my chubby physique because pasta are made of carbohydrates. You'd be surprised, however, that in Rome most of their pasta are anything but low-calorie despite the heavy sauces and dressings. This is the authentic pasta and the traditional Roman way of cooking pasta. Their menu usually starts with a bruschetta and mozzarella. The pasta course includes any of these: spaghetti alla carbonara, bucatini all'amatriciana, bucatini cacio e pepe or gnocchi alla romana. The sidedish includes many different dishes such as the artichokes. And you finish the meal with a white or red wine. Also, since this city is filled with wine lovers, you can expect to see a lot of vineyards in those short trips. I feel so full already just by mentioning all those meals, I didn't even include the main course because I could hardly pronounce the meals' names haha. Hope we all get to visit Rome, someday soon.
