Recipe of the Week: GARLIC SPINACH OR KANGKONG IN OYSTER SAUCE
I am feeling sluggish.
It was my feast day yesterday so I indulged myself in a big bag of potato chips and Edy's chocolate chip mint ice cream. I think my body is rejecting all the grease I got from the chips as I feel very terrible today. Hmmm, my precious tummy is no longer used to all these junk hee.
I need to water cleanse (or probably green tea would do me much better).
So for this week's recipe, let's cook up something healthy.
Ingredients:
· 500 grams spinach or kangkong leaves
· 1 clove garlic
· 1 piece ginger
· ½ cup water or light stock
· 3 teaspoon oyster sauce
· 2 teaspoon soy sauce
· salt to taste
· 1 teaspoon corn flour
· 1 teaspoon cold water
· 1 teaspoon sesame oil
· oil to cook
Procedure:
1. Put salt in the kangkong leaves, add oyster sauce, soy sauce and 1 liter of water.
2. In a pan add oil, garlic and then put the kangkong leaves. Add sesame oil, then stir fry add a little water to the corn flour or cornstarch then to the kangkong leaves. Serve over rice.
