Sundays are spent to catch up with relatives and friends here, it's my self-declared Telethon day. Hubby knows that I 'SHOULD' be spending hours and hours on the phone at least 1 day a week. Otherwise, I'd be cranky haha! That is my only means of socialization here not to mention my virtual social life and some few get-together with his relatives and some of my long-lost friends in Virginia Beach. Anyways, one of the friends I talked to asked for my advise whether they should hire the service of Freedom Debt Relief because their household income can no longer meet the unending credit card bills and utilities most especially that of the electricity. I told her to go over the terms with her husband before jumping into any offers. I was alarmed with the rate of the electric bill they had and checked ours online. WHOA! I was shocked with what I saw! It was not what I was expecting. When I told hubby about this, we started to list down ways on how we could cut down our electric consumption. One of which is to lessen my cooking and baking which takes a lot of electricity. We were even contemplating on taking out food rather than buying raw meat, chicken, veggies etc...and doing the works. There are walking distance Asian restaurants here with very minimal meal rates. And since, I am on a diet, I think taking out food would save us electricity. But, I know restaurants uses a lot of spices that are not good for our health, hmmm. What do you think, with a family of 2 adults +1 toddler with 1 of the adults on diet, do you think we could save more by taking out food or cooking our own meals?

inputs please.
