birthday meals...at Mc Do.

It's been so long since my last telethon with my bestfriend who is based in Canada. Both of us got really busy with a lot of things that we missed out on calling each other regularly. Also, I was trying to confirm if our unlimited long-distance call feature includes Canada. So, when I finally confirmed that it includes Canada, I immediately called her up. Only to find out that my Godson's (his son) 5th birthday party was a disaster! I couldn't name the place where they were supposed to hold the party because it is one of the biggest and most popular children's venues in U.S. and Canada and it is a very delicate issue that my bestfriend is thinking of filing a case against them. This is what happened in gist. They had a confirmed reservation 1 month before the event, complete with downpayment and confirmation receipts. She called in 2 weeks before the event for some changes in the number of attendees. When the big day finally came, they were barred by the manager and was told that somebody called and apparently cancelled their reservation! When my bestfriend was asking who it was, the manager couldn't name names. Isn't that such a negligence on their part. The worst thing here is, the manager was even calling her names because she was an Asian, bad work ethics and discrimination here we come! Anyways, in the end Mc Donald's was kind enough to accomodate almost 50 persons (adults&kids). What was really pissing my bestfriend is that it left a mark on his son, he was somewhat traumatized with what happened. She consulted her dad if she has to file a case against them, they are still contemplating on this matter. However, she asked for my help and as I was trying to research on her case I chanced upon California Lemon Laws and Lemon Law statutes by state. Clplawyer.com specializes on consumer law. The site also includes Lemon Law information. Seems to me that their group of lawyers are experienced, however they are only based in California.

I'll give you updates on this matter, but for now me and my son are boycotting that children's place even if he loves it to bits.
