chef liit (and a review on Martha White chocolate chip muffin mix)
Even if my toddler is a boy, he loves to help me out in the kitchen. Maybe it's true what they say that the best chefs in the world are men! His favorite is when we are mixing ingredients for his muffins and pastries what-nots. Ethan is just one big muncher of donuts, muffins and cakes. I make sure that I never ran out of these sweet soft food at home. While waiting for our batter to be baked, he does his art activities in the kitchen too, look at this mess! He's into tracing and cutting these days. I am never bored with housechores when I do them with him. Recently, he has been bugging his dad to get him swing sets to be placed at the backyard which is just an arm-stretch from the dining area. He suggested that he would eat his meals there. haha. Nice idea kiddo!
On to Martha White's Chocolate Chip muffin mix. I love the Martha White's mixes over the more popular brands of mixes because aside from them priced not more than a dollar, they are absolutely yummy and my son just love them to bits. Generally, I'll give them a rating of 9 for all their mixes save for this one. This chocolate chip muffin mix can only make up to 4 big muffins and about 8-10 small muffins. They taste bland (more of like spongecake-taste) and you will have to add more chocolate chips. I'll give this a 6 (10 being the highest). My favorites from their brand are: Blueberry Cheesecake Mix and Chewy Fudge.
